Peanut Allergy Must Have’s

We found a couple cool things to help our son & others understand his peanut allergy.
This book “Mommy, Is This Safe to Eat? A Guide for Preschoolers Allergic to Peanuts and Tree Nuts” by Christina Black, is a 20 page book with large pictures of foods my son cannot eat. It was a great way to explain to him why he can’t grab things off a table at a party and to discuss cross contamination.
My other life saver is the “Beyond a Peanut Is this safe?” flashcard set. http://www.beyondapeanut.com/ There are cards for a variety of different foods and home products with examples of cross contamination. I leave mine right out on the table for visitors to flip through. These are a great resource for the holidays!!!
